Leon Lister is an interdisciplinary artist working within filmmaking, programming, and object-making. Their practice centers on analog film and light, thematically exploring intimacy, grief, and clairvoyance. Leon is on the programming committee for NewFest's annual LGBTQ+ Film Festival and curated ‘Common Country’, both of which honor Queer stories. They received a BFA in Film from Pratt Institute and are certified by IDC as an Intimacy Coordinator. Their photo book, ‘White Sun’, was released Summer 2024. Leon co-wrote, produced, and assistant directed NYSCA supported short film, Backseat of the Couch, which will be exhibited in Fall 2024.
