Leon Lister is an interdisciplinary artist working across filmmaking, programming, and object-making. Their practice centers analog film and light, exploring themes of intimacy, grief and metaphysical clairvoyance. Leon’s work in analog cinematography has screened on The Criterion Channel and at Atlanta Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, Kinoskop Film Festival, and NoBudge Film Festival. Most recently, they co-wrote, produced, and assistant directed the NYSCA-supported film Backseat of the Couch and self-published their photo book White Sun. Leon holds a BFA in Film from Pratt Institute and is currently pursuing an MFA in Cinema Arts at Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
